We like to care for people in our community - and this is the team that takes the lead when there is a major loss or emerging challenge in one of our committee members’ lives. Sometimes, we also get to celebrate exciting milestones. Join this group if warm, kind outreach is just up your alley. This it the team’s first meeting of the year and all are welcome.

We’re collecting food for animals at the NHSPCA and that will be distributed to local food banks. If you are able to help, we are collecting:

• Canned and dry cat and kitten food

• Canned and dry dog and puppy food

• Triple Crown senior horse feed

• Peanut butter and soft dog treats

The government that has the greatest impact on your life? It is LOCAL government. At this meeting, we will hear from the candidates for local boards and committees who want an endorsement from our committee.

This is an opportunity to ask candidates questions about issues that are important to you: the quality of our schools, the thoughtfulness of our land use planning and zoning, the prudence of our budget, and the management of our town government. It’s a great chance to decide: Do they get our stamp of approval?

There have been major changes in NH election law. This Zoom call is for you if you want to help ensure every voter is heard.

Liz Tentarelli of the League of Women Voters of New Hampshire will outline the recent changes to voter registration, ID, and absentee ballot rules, and explain how these updates affect voters statewide. Olivia Zink of Open Democracy will discuss how community members can help ensure that every eligible voter has the information and documents they need to successfully register and cast their ballot.
